INTRODUCING

CATHERINE BURNS

Catherine Burns was born in Manchester, graduated from Cambridge, worked as a bond trader in the City of London before studying at the Moscow Institute of Film and teaching film theory at Salford University.

THE VISITORS, her first novel, was called ‘dark and thrilling… gripping and hugely impressive’ by The Bookbag. Publishers Weekly wrote that it ‘blurs the line between crime fiction and horror’. It was published simultaneously in the UK (Legend Press), the US (Scout Press/Simon & Schuster) and Australia and New Zealand (Hachette), and in audio (Oakhill), and translation editions are following in Croatian (Znanje), Czech (Alpress) and Spanish (Panamericana).

It reached #1 on Kindle on Amazon UK for Crime/Suspense/Horror, was a Books Etc Book of the Month and the New York Post chose it as one of their weekly must-read books. She is working on her next novel.

THE VISITORS (2017)

‘Once you start Catherine Burns’ dark, disturbing, and enthralling debut novel, it’s hard to stop. The Visitors is bizarrely unsettling, yet compulsively readable.’ – Iain Reid, internationally bestselling author of I’m Thinking of Ending Things
