INTRODUCING

JOHN X. COOPER

John X. Cooper was born in Athens and lived in Britain and Canada. He had a successful career as a professor of literature and published several books with Cambridge University Press including The Cambridge Introduction to T.S. Eliot.
Turning to fiction, he created the Greek police detective Panos Akritas and sets his crime novels in Athens, one of Europe’s most fascinating locations.

The first, THE STING OF THE WASP, was initially published under his Greek name, Yianni Xiros. In the second novel in the series, DEAD LETTER, set in the scorching heat of summer, the detective is called to investigate a brutal and mysterious murder in the National Library. Cooper is working on the third in the series, THREE SISTERS.
