STEVEN GAUGE

Steven Gauge writes about politics and rugby.

He got into politics early in life, leading a small demo around his nursery school playground. A local councillor aged 23 and a parliamentary candidate by 30, he has toured the country by battle-bus with party leaders. Author of The Little Book of Politics and Political Wit he works in Westminster, advising businesses, charities and others on political engagement.

He got into rugby a little later in life, taking up the sport aged 35 as part of a mild mid-life crisis. His memoir, My Life as a Hooker, was shortlisted for the British Sports Book awards in 2013 and was Book of the Month in Rugby World magazine.
