Ash Dykes from Wales was the first person to walk solo and unsupported across Mongolia, trekking over the Altai Mountains, the Gobi Desert and the Steppe at the age of 23. Next he traversed the length of Madagascar via its eight highest peaks, and despite contracting malaria, achieved another world first that people had said was impossible. In 2019, aged 28, he became the first recorded person to walk the entire length of China’s Yangtze, Asia’s longest river. Winner of the UK Adventurer of the Year award, his exploits have been featured across international media including The Times, Forbes, The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Fox News, China Daily, Sky News, BBC World News, ITV, Channel 5 and the Discovery Channel.
